"Extraordinary Attorney Woo" is a work that depicts the story of Woo Young-woo, a newly hired lawyer with autism spectrum, solving cases in her own way and growing through the process.

Through distinctive characters and warm narratives, it conveyed the values of diversity and coexistence, setting a record for the highest viewership rating in ENA history. It was also nominated for the Critics Choice International Award for Outstanding Foreign Language Series and the International Emmy Awards.

Recently, the Japanese remake drama "Extraordinary Attorney Minami" ranked first in Netflix Japan's TV series and also rose to fifth place in the global non-English TV series category.

The musical will be co-produced by Lotte Cultureworks and global musical production company Live Inc. This project was realized based on a memorandum of understanding signed with AStory, the original production company.

The work is being prepared as a project targeting the global market from the development stage. The goal is to tell a story that the worldwide audience can empathize with while preserving the original's unique characters and sentiments, unfolding the process of people with different perspectives understanding each other and living together.

Using orchestral melodies and video through stage aesthetics, the unique inner world of the protagonist Woo Young-woo will be expressed, and an original musical with new charm unique to stage art is planned to be completed.

The musical "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" was selected for the "2026 Large-Scale Musical Pilot Performance Support Project" sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and hosted by the Arts Management Support Center. It will make its debut to audiences in January of next year.

Strong Young-won and Kim Ha-jin participated in the playwriting, Kim Hye-sung in composition, V in directing, and O Pil-young in stage design. Skilled musical creators are working together to enhance completeness.

Yoo Se-in, head of the Live Business Division at Lotte Cultureworks, said, "We are working to create a special and moving stage with a message of coexistence through the protagonist who lives the world at a different pace and rhythm from others."

He added, "Based on Lotte Cultureworks' content business capabilities, we will concentrate our efforts to take a leap forward as a K-musical that resonates on the global stage."

Kang Byung-won, CEO of Live Inc., said, "By adding the emotion that only music and stage can convey to the original's warm perspective, we will complete a grand theater original musical that can be loved for a long time in the global market."

The musical "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" will be performed at Ticketlink 1975 Theater from January 16 to February 6 next year. Detailed information such as casting and ticket opening schedules will be announced later.
