[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju] Actor Park Hae-il met with North American film audiences.
The Academy Museum will hold a special screening '박해일' (Park Hae-il) from the 29th to the 14th of next month in the area around the David Geffen Theatre in Los Angeles, United States.
Park Hae-il will have a total of three meetings with audiences during this screening schedule. He will attend screening events for the films "한산: 용의 출현," "Decision to Leave," and "Sensitive Plot."
In addition to these works, films containing Park Hae-il's 20-year acting career will be introduced. These include "Princess Deokhye," "Waikiki Brothers," "Memories of Murder," "Moss," and "Jealousy is My Strength."
The museum described Park Hae-il as "an actor who depicts the complex inner world of characters—from a reclusive writer in his 70s to an enthusiastic teenage rock band vocalist—with keen sensibility."
It continued, "All characters he portrays contain both strength and gentleness," and called him "an actor who leads audiences through a broad emotional landscape with his multidimensional character depiction."
Meanwhile, the Academy Museum has planned several events honoring Korean actors and directors. Special exhibitions were held for Song Kang-ho in 2023, Youn Yuh-jung in 2024, and director Bong Joon-ho last year.
