On January 27th, actors Lee Ji-Eun and Park Bo-Gum confirmed their roles in the new drama 'You Have Done Well' (written by Im Sang-Choon and directed by Kim Won-Suk).
Lee Ji-Eun and Park Bo-Gum will play the leading roles, which is set in Jeju Island. Expectations are high for the new drama by Im Sang-Choon, who successfully wrote ‘Fight for My Way’ and ‘When the Camellia Blooms.’ Director Kim is famous for previously directing ‘Misaeng’, ‘Signal’ and ‘My Mister.’
‘You Have Done Well (working title)’ is set in the 1950s of Jeju island and is centered around the main character ‘Ae-Soon’ (played by Lee Ji-Eun), who is rebellious and aspires to become a poet, even though she is unable to attend school.
The male lead is ‘Gwan Shik’ (played by Park Bo-Gum) who is a diligent and sincere character. Although romance is not a strength for him, his love and respect for ‘Ae-Soon’ is genuine and sweet.
A representative from the production team said, "The drama is a tribute to two youths who go through their ups and downs in life, from a mother’s first love story to a father’s heroic story.”
'Fan Entertainment', the production company, announced, "We plan to produce 'You Have Done Well' as the largest scale production since the company's foundation." The official continued, “it is reassuring to know that Lee Ji-Eun and Park Bo-Gum have joined our team. The strongest production team and cast list are well under preparation that can move and touch the hearts of viewers.”
The drama is currently under production and is set to release in the second half of this year.
