Stray Kids set a new K-pop record...4.93 million pre-orders for the 3rd album

Stray Kids has made history in the music industry.

According to JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids surpassed 4.93 million pre-orders with their third album 'Five Star' (★★★★, 5-STAR).

This is the highest record in K-pop history. The previous No. 1 was SEVENTEEN's 10th EP ‘FML’ (4.64 million copies) released in April. They set a record by showing a difference of nearly 300,000 copies.

Compared to the previous album, it sold more than 1.5 million copies. Stray Kids' seventh EP ‘Maxident’ sold 3,421,700 copies (based on the circuit chart).

It is showing remarkable growth. About 1,675,000 copies of the second album ‘Noeasy’ and about 1,856,000 copies of the sixth EP ‘Oddinary’ were sold.

‘Five Star’ is an album that contains Stray Kids' identity. 3Racha, a producing team in the group, worked on it. All 12 tracks, including the title track 's-class', consisted of self-written songs.

It's already getting a lot of attention. The video of the track released through ‘Unveil: Track’ ranked in the top five of ‘ YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide’.  

They look forward to the top of the U.S. Billboard chart for three consecutive years.Stray Kids topped Billboard's main album chart, "Billboard 200," with ‘Oddinary’ and ‘Maxident’. 

Meanwhile, Stray Kids will officially release ‘Five Star’ on June 2 at 1pm (0 pm EST).
